Timeline
1743: Freemasonry in Denmark (according to English tradition); first lodge is St. Martin. Danish freemasonry takes its cue from Germany in most matters
1745: Founding of Lodge Zorobabel, still in existance today (as 'Zorobabel og Frederik til det kronede Haab', or simply Z&F)
1765: Strict Observance? is introduced; Baron von Hund? is de facto head of Danish freemasonry
1776: Death of Baron von Hund
1778: Danish becomes the language used in lodge
1782: Rectified Rite is introduced
1807: The Danish Order of Freemasons moves to Kronprinsensgade, Copenhagen
1852: Lodge Kosmos in Helsingør (Elsinore) is given permission to work the Swedish Rite, and it slowly becomes the system of choice in other lodges
1858: King Frederick VII founds the Grand Lodge of Denmark, and Swedish Rite is officially the system practised, from this year including the highest degrees (Chapter)
1868: The Danish Order of Freemasons moves to bigger premises in Klerkegade, Copenhagen
18xx: Founding of the Order of the Circle
1896: Founding of the Order of St. Andrew following a split from the Order of the Circle
1900: Founding of Lodge 'Christian til Palmetræet', working the German Schröder's Rite
1917: Founding of first lodge under Le Droit Humain in Denmark
1927: The Danish Order of Freemasons moves to current location, 'Stamhuset', Blegdamsvej 23, Copenhagen
1929: Founding of The (alternative) Grand Lodge of Denmark and introduction of Ritus Hauniensis
1959: The Schröder lodges enter into concord with The Danish Order of Freemasons and gain regularity
1961: The majority of the lodges in the (alternative) Grand Lodge enter into concord with The Danish Order of Freemasons and gain regularity under the name of The Ancient Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons of Denmark (The Fraternity of F&AM)
1989: Founding of Lodge Freja, women-only, under the auspices of Women's Grand Lodge of Belgium
1993: The Fraternity of F&AM change their ritual from Ritus Hauniensis to Emulation?
1993: Celebration of 250 year anniversary of freemasonry in Denmark
1996: Founding of Fiat Lux, lodge of research under The Fraternity of F&AM
1997: Founding of Friederich Münter, lodge of research under the Danish Order of Freemasons
2003: Founding of Danish Free and Independent Masons, working Ritus Hauniensis
2004: Founding of Lodge Lilium, the second women's lodge
2005: Hans Martin Jepsen is installed as Grand Master of the Order
2007: John Engler is intalled as Deputy Grand Master of the Fraternity
